Volley

Yesterday Champions League volley, Kanaal 2: Noliko Maaseik - Eviva Düren.

Some observations:
- Jump serve is hitted high and ball makes a nice (top spin) curve. It stuck me that they hit the ball well in front of the body, optimal for hitting. Jump serves were surprisingly hard.
- STOYKOV struck me: In slow mo it clearly showed he hitted simply "diagonaal" and aggressively, and because the block didn't built up in time, he actually scored that way. (Normally that's the fastest way to get the ball on your feet :D).
- QUERO is main attacker at Dûren although only 190 cm. Very explosive player, also in jump serve. Very thick and large muscular legs. Because he jumps so high, he actually has a lot of options to "play with the block", which showed clearly in slow mo.
- ROCQUE is a middle attacker. Even with a two man's block, he turns his attack very explicit. In slow motion, it showed he pulls his attacking arm back a lot, this seems to allow a smooth turn with arms and hands when smashing. Very good defender too. Muscular athlete, large arms.
